Ugh. / Monday, November 22, 2010
I made a fool out of myself today, though it's not entirely my fault.
Apparently the lecturer switched the classroom to the 3rd floor, and I'm also moved to the other class. So I thought I'll be in the same class as the one I was in in the previous module. Then my friend called and told me to go down so I did and I thought both classes were at the wrong classrooms, so I told the people in 'my' class to go down, swap classrooms actually.
Then this created a big confusion, although nobody went down, except me. I'm so ridiculous.
Anyway, so I went to my new class, and blah-ed, since today's just briefing and stuff. Then went off to Art Friend and Art Mark to help my classmates to get their Copic markers. I think I only spent a total of like maybe $50+, most of them spent waaaaaaaaaaay over my limit, at $70 ~ 80+, so I thought - Shit, my class has so many rich people.
After that, went to Singapore Arts' Museum for pictures for tomorrow's assignment, blah-ed till probably 6PM then went for dinner, then headed home, while my classmates went to watch Harry Potter/Megamind. I'd like to join them actually, but I'm pretty cashless atm, so I headed home anyway.
So, my life's pretty much schoolwork nowadays, nothing really much actually.

Update / Friday, November 5, 2010
Sorry for not updating although I said I would update my blog frequently, been busy ever since school re-opened and never really had the time and mood to blog.
So anyway, I'm currently taking Product Visualisation and Human Centered Design, both equally stressful modules, at the same time.
Product Visualisation actually wasn't this stressful until the lecturer told us to get Copic markers worth like $5.50 per pen and Canson papers that can only be bought at Takashimaya. I don't really see what's the difference between normal A4 papers and papers with weird names and textures, the marker ink still flows to the back. Markers-wise, I need a wide range of them to bring out the 3D effect of the product, so yeah, basically, it's a financially-stressful module.
As for Human Centered Design, the lectures are so damn boring and the lecturer is basically reading off the slides, luckily that only lasted for a week, I only have a very faint idea of what to do, but doing the project won't be fun, I'm sure. 5000-word report, in your own words, in addition to your sketches and your final design.
So like, I wonder if i'll survive this block.

Nothing much / Wednesday, September 29, 2010
Holidays started and I'm really bored and as much as I hated going to school for 3 hours of nothingness, staying at home is even more boring.
So what I've been doing these few days was watching anime I missed due to the busy curriculum and stuffs.
Oh before I forget, check out the new song titled - Tenshi no Fureta yo a.k.a I Touched An Angel. It showed on K-ON! and I totally fell in love the first time I heard it, makes me want to learn the piano too.
Now I just thought of how lucky those kids were who were forced to learn the piano by their parents, whereas my mum wouldn't let me. LOL
Hopefully there'll be more fun things that'll come throughout my holidays, =/ Shall end post here, till then, ciao.

Module ending in a day's time, like wow, I've got like one day left to do my Final Assignment which I've hardly ever started and some of my classmates are still in the middle of the last few assignments.
While others are having their God-knows-how-many-months holidays, we're still drawing the daylights out of our poor souls and it's all thanks to the Block system.
For those who do not know, it's a timetable that is only used by the design school of TP, meaning 1 module will only last for 4 weeks, subtracting away the weekends and the one-day study break of every week, making it only 16 days of crash course for each module. It's worse when we have double modules.
I'm so damn shagged everyday that I don't feel like going to school tomorrow. Basically it's just briefing and more briefing and then we're left to do our own work, wouldn't have gone if attendance wasn't being marked.

Clique / Tuesday, September 14, 2010
I noticed I haven't been posting a lot lately even though now I'm back to blogging. Basically it's just my boring everyday life that I doubt anyone would be interested. I don't think anybody really reads my posts anyway.
To start of today's post, I'll just talk about the current module, Freehand and Perspective drawing, totally not what I expected, not that it's not fun or anything but the workload is rather heavy, of course it adds on to our procrastination. However, I'm drawing things which I hated drawing, mostly buildings and complicated robots, which helps me step out of my comfort zone in a way or another. All I've been drawing throughout the course were mostly plants and flowers and plant-inspired designs which I find them boring after drawing them for such a long time.
Classmates-wise, I think it's probably me, I don't really belong to a particular clique; not that I don't like my classmates, they're all nice people, pretty friendly too, although arguments pop out of nowhere in between. There are some people which I'm not close with, since I'm the sit-on-the-fence type of person when it comes to making friends, I only talk to those who talked to me first, other than that, I just mind my own business.
Recently, I find myself getting closer to my usual gang in secondary school, although we don't really meet up and go out or anything but through MSN chatting I found myself being more open.
Why am I talking about me and my friends? I don't know why either, it just comes to my mind when I'm writing this I guess.

Movie / Thursday, September 9, 2010
Just came back from Vivo after watching Cats and Dogs : Revenge of Kitty Galore with my usual Sec school gang.
We were supposedly going to watch Vampires Suck but they were late so we watched this instead.
The movie is okay, I guess, if you've got the spare time and money to watch, by all means you should. But I wouldn't really recommend it though, it's basically Hero tries to save the world from villain, traditional.
Anyway, I think I haven't blogged much about the new module yet. So far, everything's still okay, but I can get quite stressed at times, wondering if I'm doing too much or too little. Anyway, the new lecturer's good so there's nothing much to say about him.
Not sure if I really like the block system or not cuz we're supposed to do 40 sketches in 4 weeks and with the homework we have and our laziness added together, it's pretty impossible.
So I guess that's all I have to say for this module, it's fun but I prefer Drawing Essentials.

Quit / Sunday, September 5, 2010
I am as of now, no longer a part-time employee of Tung Lok, Ruyi.
The people there are great, friendly colleagues, nice working conditions, pretty slacky on weekdays, the pay is pretty great too, you get paid on the day you work too.
However, I quit the job since the managers are stingy misers.
Okay, I'll explain what happened.
After work, Manager A asked me to deliver something to the new outlet at Terminal One.
I just accepted since he's paying me 30 mins extra, but I said I'm in a hurry anyway.
He was speaking in a weird accent since he's Filipino - he was giving me directions on how to go there by bus.
I asked him twice, still couldn't understand, so she asked me to take a taxi instead.
So I did, reached there, got my receipt, total fare - $20.20, tried to claim but Manager B said no because I was supposed to take a bus instead.
I explained, then he called Manager A then they quarrelled, then it got so Fucked up, Man. B told me to go back to my outlet which is really far away and settle with Man. A
Then at that point, I got so pissed, I felt like they were treating me like a toy.
So I SMSed Man. A, I wrote - Never mind, I'll pay. I don't want to work anymore.
It's like WTF man, what is a meager $20 to your company? Each customer that comes in to buy your overpriced yet not-so-nice food can easily amount up to $50, so what the eff is wrong with you guys not being able to reimburse my 20 bucks?

Work / Friday, August 27, 2010
Been working for like 6 days at Ruyi and I gotta admit, it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the time I worked in Bee Cheng Hiang.
For one, meals are provided and you get to choose from the menu, it pays 6 bucks per hour as compared to BCH, which only pays 5/hr. It's air-conditioned; no more sweating like pigs on fire. Secondly, it's pretty slack-ish other than the mealtimes. Lastly, as a part-timer, instead of waiting one oh-so-long month for your pay to arrive, you get paid on the day depending on how many hours you work, how shiok is that?
Just one setback is that there are lots of tourists all over the world, from Cantonese-speaking Hong Kongers to Japanese and Koreans, it's kinda hard to get the queue flowing. However, it kinda shows me the courtesy of people, not too sure if courtesy is the right word for it but most of the time, the Americans, they dispose of their bowls and trays themselves instead of having us do it for them, which I think is pretty admirable, they're also pretty friendly, unlike some stupid asshole from God-Knows-Where who called me an effing Prick today. All I did was teach the new girl how to do the cashiering, she made a mistake, which is pretty normal for newcomers and the guy flared up at me. It's not like he lost any money, it's just the order that's wrong, why so serious?
Ah.. Idiots are everywhere, I guess I should've known better, shouldn't have wasted my time posting about him, but since I already did, thou shalt not waste thy effort : >
Anyway, after work today, I saw this taxi which drove past and the advert on it totally cracked me up.
It said - www(dot)CatchCheatingSpouse(dot)com(dot)sg and I was kinda surprised by such an ad. I mean, if you are to help people catch their cheating spourses then at least send private e-mails so individuals may or may not know, catch my drift?
Anyway, I think I should hit the sack, working at 8 tomorrow and I hope my manager doesn't extend my working hours.
